It is a new year and the future is now. That is Northeast Wrestling (NEW) next wrestling event scheduled for February 18 in Bethany, Connecticut. During Over The Top, Kerr won the royal rumble to become the new number one contender for the NEW Heavyweight Championship.

Former WWE superstar, Lanny Poffo, younger brother of the late Randy Savage, died at the age of 68. He was known as "The Genius" and also "Leaping" Lanny Poffo during his time in the ring. Poffo had his greatest success as the manager of "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig.

Four superstars are set for the Elimination chamber match - Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Liv Morgan, and Nikki Cross. A fatal four way match is scheduled next week for the following:

During the men's royal rumble match, Logan Paul eliminated Seth Rollins. It was Paul's only elimination until Cody Rhodes threw him over the ropes. For Rollins, that did not sit well. On Monday Night Raw, Rollins refused to answer the question about Paul and walked away.
